A glowing kiln

Glowing KilnWhen I do my raku glaze firings I open the kiln while it is red hot,  at roughly 1830 °F.  Here’s a shot of what it looks like when I open the kiln.  If you click on the image it will enlarge and you can see the pieces down in the kiln.  I pull them out with metal tongs.
